1920 Cleveland Indians (vs Robins) World Series Ticket Stubs and Scorecard Section
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,067
Pair of ticket stubs, plus the interior scorecard section from the program, issued for Game 4 of the 1920 World Series between the Cleveland Indians and Brooklyn Dodgers, held at League Park in Cleveland. The two ticket stubs, each of which is listed for "Game 1" (the "1" denotes the first game held in Cleveland, which was actually Game 4 of the Series) are for upper-deck seats that are numbered, respectively, "2 D 13" and "2 D 14." Each ticket (4 x 2 inches) displays a few minor creases and has been affixed (by means of adhesive along the left border) to the front of the interior scorecard section from the game. It must be noted that this scorecard section was removed from the center of the original 12-page (at Cleveland) program and does not represent the complete program. The scorecard (5.5 x 8.75 inches), which has been neatly scored in pencil for Game 4 (a 5-1 Cleveland victory), is separated at the spine, but the sections have been reattached by means of clear tape at the top and bottom. Without reference to the spine separation, the scorecard is in Very Good condition overall. Total: 3 items (2 ticket stubs and 1 scorecard section). 1920 World Series tickets at Cleveland are particularly rare and these are two very clean examples that were obviously carefully saved as special keepsakes. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,067
