1913 New York Giants (vs Athletics) World Series Program

Large-format twenty-four page 1913 World Series program issued for the games at the Polo Grounds in New York. The cover pictures an illustration of Giants manager John McGraw and pays homage to his five pennants in the past ten seasons. The pages include team photos of both the Giants and Athletics, as well as individual photos of Giants front-office personnel and League officials. Neatly scored in pencil for the fifth and final game of the Series: a 3-1 Philadelphia victory, with Plank besting Mathewson. The program (9.25 x 11 inches) displays a heavy vertical fold, moderate creasing, and a few tears to each cover, one of which has been repaired with tape on the interior front cover.
