Circa 1928 St. Louis Cardinals Signed Ball with Frisch

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $237

Official National League ball (league president's name no longer visible) signed in blue fountain pen by the following five former major league players: Frankie Frisch (sweet spot; grading "5/6"), Andy High ("5"), Fred Heimach ("6"), Walter Roettger ("6/7"), and Ernie Orsatti ("6/7"). Frisch, High, Roettger, and Orsatti all played together with the Cardinals in 1928 and 1929. Heimach was on the New York Yankees during that two-year period. If the signatures were all obtained at the same time, the ball may have been signed either during a spring-training game or at the 1928 World Series. The ball displays heavy use (it may represent a game-used ball), including soiling and abrasions. In Good condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $237
