1916 Wright & Ditson and AJ Reach Co. Documents with George Wright, John Morrill, and AJ Reach Sigs

Collection of twelve shareholder voting slips, from both the Wright & Ditson and A. J. Reach Companies, signed on the reverse by each respective shareholder, including George Wright, A. J. Reach, and "Honest John" Morrill. The first set of six slips, all hand cut to approximate dimensions of 3.5 x 6 inches, record the votes made by the shareholders for the election of the Wright & Ditson directors. The front of each typewritten slip bears the company name ("Wright & Ditson"), the date ("Oct. 11, 1921"), and the names of the eligible directors: George Wright, Beals C. Wright, Irving C. Wright, John F. Morrill, J. W. Spalding, J. W. Curtiss, and H. Boardman Spalding. The signature of a single director appears on the reverse of five of the six slips. Those five signatures, each rendered in pencil, are "Geo. Wright," "John. F. Morrill," "J. W. Curtis," "J. W. Spalding," and "H. Boardman Spalding" (with Beals C. Wright" scripted by H. Boardman Spalding as proxy)." The sixth ballot is not signed. All of the signatures grade "10" and the ballots are in overall Excellent condition. The second group of six slips, all hand-cut to approximate dimensions of 3.5 x 6.25 inches, record the votes made by the shareholders for the election of the A. J. Reach Company directors. The front of each typewritten slip bears the company name ("A. J. Reach Company"), the year ("1924-1925"), and the names of the eligible directors: J. W. Curtiss, L. K. Moses, Alfred J. Reach, George A. Reach, Thomas. S. Shibe, H. Boardman Spalding, and J. W. Spalding. The signature of a single director appears on the reverse of each slip. The those six signatures, each rendered in pencil, are "A. J. Reach," "Geo. A. Reach," "L. K. Moses," "Thomas S. Shibe," "J. W. Spalding," and "H. Boardman Spalding" (with A. G. Spalding & Bros., and J. W. Curtiss also scripted by H. Boardman Spalding as proxy). Each director has listed his respective number of shares next to his name. All of the signatures grade "10" and the ballots are in overall Excellent to Mint condition. Accompanying the slips are two pages, dated October 10, 1916, originating from a Wright & Ditson minute book, with one of the pages signed in blue fountain pen by "H. B. Spalding" as secretary. Each page (8.75 x 11.75 inches) displays light toning and two notebook holes along the left border. In Excellent condition overall. Together with a negative of A. J. Reach.
