1954 Bowman #66 Ted Williams PSA EX-MT 6
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,659
Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Beautiful high-grade example of 1954 Bowman #66 Ted Williams, universally recognized as one of the most significant of all postwar baseball-card rarities. Williams, of course, had to be replaced with a different card (#66 Jimmy Piersall) very early in the 1954 Bowman print run due to contractual commitments to Topps. Crisp and clean, with flawless bright colors, four sharp corners with almost imperceptible wear, snow-white borders, no print marks, and a flawless reverse. The card is centered very slightly to the top left corner, which may be all that keeps it from receiving a higher grade. An exceptionally attractive high-grade example of one of Ted Williams' most classic cards, from this extremely popular 1950s issue. Note: the scratch visible in the scan is on the holder and not on the card--the surface of the card is flawless! REA will include a voucher for reholdering with the card upon completion of the auction.Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,659
