1954 Bowman Complete Set (224)
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,659
7% Nr/Mt or better, 85% range in grade from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt (averaging Ex), and 8% Vg or lesser. 1954 Bowman baseball is one of the most outstanding values among all early 1950s sets. This is a very attractive set (no #66 Williams) needing just a few upgrades. A little honest corner wear is the only technical flaw on many of the cards, which otherwise are bright and clean. A total of thirteen cards, including the two key cards (Mantle and Mays), are graded by PSA. Keys: #1 Rizzuto (Vg-Ex), 6 Fox (Ex), 15 Ashburn (Vg-Ex+), 38 Minoso (Ex), 45 Kiner (Vg), 50 Kell (Vg-Ex+), 57 Wilhelm (Ex), 58 Reese (Ex), 62 Slaughter (Ex+), 64 Mathews (Vg-Ex), 65 Mantle (GOOD 2), 66 Piersall (EX-MT 6), 89 Mays (VG-EX 4), 84 Doby (Vg-Ex), 90 Campanella (Ex+), 95 Roberts (Vg-Ex), 110 Schoendienst (Vg-Ex), 132 Feller (Ex), 138 Hodges (Ex+), 145 Martin (Ex), 161 Berra (no bottom border, otherwise Ex), 164 Wynn (Vg-Ex+), 170 Snider (Vg-Ex+), 177 Ford (Vg-Ex+), and 196 Lemon (NM-MT 8). Other Graded Cards: NM-MT 8: #2, 129 Bauer (OC), 134, 198, and 211. NM+ 7.5: #206. NM 7: #73, 91, and 114. Crisp, clean, and extremely attractive complete set. Total: 224 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,659
