The 1950 Bowman set is often overlooked by collectors simply because it does not include a Mantle or Mays rookie, but this was a landmark set in its day because it was the first postwar baseball issue to feature full-color artwork instead of photographs. We rarely have the opportunity to offer high-quality complete sets of 1950 Bowman and over the years have consistently found it to be among the most elusive sets of the era. This is an extraordinary high-grade complete set of this classic early Bowman issue. The SMR value for the individual cards is $15,390. Total: 252 cards.Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000++.
