Graded NM 7 by BVG. Very sharp looking, high-grade 1939 Play Ball #26 Joe DiMaggio featuring the "Yankee Clipper" in a portrait pose. One of card collecting's great classics and one of the keys to the 1939 Play Ball set, the 1939 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio is universally recognized as one of the most popular of all prewar baseball cards. This striking high-grade example has four sharp corners, a crystal clear image, and is centered very slightly to the top. The reverse is perfectly clean with bold black text and near-perfect centering. An exceptional example of one of the key cards of the era. The equivalent SMR value in assigned grade is $1,200.
