1910-Era Tobacco, Caramel, Bakery-Card Collection (37) Including Two D359 Williams Baking

This collection of thirty-seven tobacco and caramel cards from the 1910 era includes cards from seven different baseball issues, highlighted by eleven Hall of Famers, as well as two cards from the very scarce D359 Williams Baking set. These cards were part of a newly discovered original-owner collection that is presented in several lots throughout this auction. This collection consists of the following: 1) E90-1 American Caramel (1 card): Mitchell/NY (Pr). 2) E91B American Caramel (1 card): Mathewson (HOF, Pr). 3) E94 George Close Candy (2 cards): Bescher (Pr) and Evers (HOF, Pr). 4) E101 (3 cards): Dougherty (Vg), Hartsel (Pr), and Lajoie (HOF, Gd). 5) D359 Williams Baking (2 cards): Lapp (Fr) and Bender (HOF, Pr). 6) T205 Gold Borders (25 cards): twenty-four different, including Clarke (HOF, Gd), Collins/mouth closed (HOF), Evers (HOF), Jennings (HOF, Gd), and Wheat (HOF).
