1910 E90-2 American Caramel Fred Clarke SGC EX 60 - Highest Graded!
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $948
Graded EX 60 by SGC. High-grade example of Hall of Famer Fred Clarke from the E90-2 American Caramel series. This is one of only two examples graded at this level with none higher out of thirty-nine cards evaluated by SGC to date. This is one of the key cards to the E90-2 set, a rare and distinctive issue featuring members of the World Champion 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates. Bright and crisp, with brilliant colors, a flawless image set against a deep red background, excellent centering, and light, even wear to the four corners. Only a small, almost imperceptible, surface dimple is present near Clarke's shoulder. Clean reverse with light toning. This is an extraordinary example of a key Hall of Famer (one of only two in the E90-2 set, the other being Wagner) from this rare and desirable prewar caramel-card set. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grade is $1,750. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $948
