Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Highest graded example with a total of only four at this level and none higher out of just sixty-four examples evaluated to date. Important and rare variation card of Cincinnati first baseman Dick Hoblitzell, with no "Cin." after 1908 in statistics on the reverse. There are several variations of Hoblitzell in the T205 set, all of which are found in this auction, including the extremely rare "No Stats". The offered card possesses brilliant colors, near-flawless registration, and excellent centering. Minor evidence of edge wear along the delicate top border, and four square corners displaying slight touches at the tips. The Piedmont reverse is clean and perfectly centered. This is an outstanding example of this sought-after variation card from the condition-sensitive T205 Gold Border set. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,500. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
