1958 to 1974 Topps Nonsport Uncut Sheet Collection (5)
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $5,925
Collection of five uncut sheets from five different popular nonsport issues produced by Topps between 1958 and 1974. 1) 1958 Topps "Zorro": 44-card uncut sheet, arranged in four rows of eleven cards, representing half of a complete set. This appears to be a partial sheet, cut down from a larger uncut sheet along the top border where a slightly uneven cut is visible. Outstanding presentation with bold colors, almost entirely free of wrinkles and creases except for a few small areas of wrinkling affecting six cards. Clean front and back. Dimensions: 14.5 x 28.5 inches. 2) 1959 Topps "Fabian": 132-card uncut sheet, arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards, featuring two 55-card complete sets and two rows of double-printed duplicates. Bright and bold colors. The top two rows are affected by creasing and small tears but the remainder of the sheet is extremely presentable with only light wrinkles affecting some interior cards. Two relatively problem-free complete set partial-sheets could be cut down from this larger sheet if desired. Clean front and back. Dimensions: 28 x 43 inches. 3) 1962 Topps "Casey & Kildare": 110-card uncut sheet, arranged in ten rows of eleven cards, representing a complete set. Likely cut down from a slightly larger standard-sized 132-card sheet. Ideal for display despite technical condition issues visible upon inspection, including surface indentations along the top row, minor tears along the side borders, and light discoloration to the reverse. A very impressive visual of the complete set is presented by this sheet. Dimensions: 27.75 x 35.5 inches. 4) 1966 Topps "Lost In Space": 132-card uncut sheet, arranged in twelve rows of eleven cards, featuring triple-printed 44-card series. This sheet displays numerous condition issues but is an ideal candidate to be easily cut down to create very presentable smaller partial sheet sections. Normal edge and corner wear, including a few small tears on the top border, are visible. Advanced discoloration and creasing affect the bottom four rows and a tear extends from the right border of the sixth row horizontally across three cards. Small areas of wrinkling are visible on other interior cards as well. The discoloration is present on the reverse at the bottom four rows but otherwise the reverse is bright and clean. Dimensions: 28 x 43 inches. 5) 1974 Topps "U.S. Presidents": Scarce 88-card uncut sheet, arranged in eight rows of eleven cards, from the reissued set which features a revised Nixon card (mentioning his resignation of the Presidency) and a new card #37 for Gerald Ford. This sheet contains two complete 37-card sets plus 14 duplicates which are double-printed (triple-printed in the case of Washington) in each of the two 44-card sections: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, F. Roosevelt, Eisenhower, and Kennedy. It is likely that this 88-card sheet is actually a partial sheet that has been cut down from a 132-card sheet as the border on the top edge is noticeably smaller. The sheet is in outstanding condition with light, normal wear along the edges and at the corners, as well as a small area of creasing that affects the top Taft, Adams, and Polk cards. Clean front and back. Dimensions: 28 x 28.5 inches. This is a substantial collection of scarce and unusual uncut sheets, ideal for display, from these five classic nonsport sets. Total: 5 sheets. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $5,925
