1966-1967 Topps Hockey Complete Set Minus One (131/132)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,778

Near-complete set of 1966-1967 Topps Hockey, missing only the Bobby Orr rookie card for completion. 44% grade Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt and 56% grade Vg-Ex to Ex, almost entirely due to light corner wear, with a few lesser. The flush-to-the-border design of 1966-1967 Topps Hockey makes the corners and edges of these cards particularly sensitive to wear, and nearly impossible to collect in high grade. A total of thirty-two cards, representing more than one-quarter of a complete set, have been graded by PSA. Keys: #13 Sawchuk (Vg-Ex), 62 Mikita (EX-MT 6), 63 Esposito (Ex+), 64 Hull LL (Ex), 66 Checklist (marked), 109 Howe (EX 5), 112 Hull (EX 5), 120 Checklist (marked), 121 Howe AS (Ex), and 125 Hull AS (Ex). Other graded cards: NM+ 7.5: #41 and 69. NM 7: #4, 7, 18, 27, 34, 37, 44, 47, 53, 55, 60, 68, 78 Keon, 86, 89, 96, 106, and 114. EX-MT+ 6.5: #26 Gilbert, 59, and 101. EX-MT 6: #2 Worsley, 15, 38, 90, 92, and 99. This is a very sharp-looking mid-to high-grade complete set of this classic hockey-card issue, with all the great stars of the era, with many condition highlights. The total SMR value for just the thirty-two graded cards (not including the additional ninety-nine cards in the set) is $680. Total: 131 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,778
