1951-1952 Parkhurst #4 Maurice Richard Rookie SGC MINT 96 - Highest Graded!
Starting Bid - $5,000, Sold For - $8,295
Graded MINT 96 by SGC. Exceptionally crisp, ultra high-grade rookie card of Hall of Famer Maurice Richard from the classic 1951-1952 Parkhurst set. 1951-1952 Parkhurst cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including print defects and a tendency to have soft corners, which make high-grade examples particularly difficult to find. (Some collectors understandably think these cards were issued with soft corners!) The offered example is perfectly centered, with four razor-sharp corners, bright colors, and a flawless image. They just don't come nicer than this. Perfectly clean on both the front and the blank-back reverse. This is a very sharp, crisp example in an exceptionally high-grade of this important rookie card which is one of the key cards in the extremely condition-sensitive 1951-1952 Parkhurst set. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $15,000. Reserve $5,000. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $8,295
