1940s-1960s New York Giants Football-Program Collection (31) Including 1958 NFL Championship Game

Collection of thirty-one New York Giants football programs spanning the years 1946 through 1962.
The main highlight of the collection is an NFL Championship program for the title game between the Giants and Baltimore Colts on December 28, 1959, which is often referred to today as "The Greatest Game Ever Played." Additional highlights include a 1958 playoff program against the Cleveland Browns, and 1962 NFL Championship program for a game against the Green Bay Packers. A number of programs (7.75 x 10.5 inches) display writing on the cover that denotes specifics of the game (score, weather, etc.), otherwise they range in grade from Fair to Excellent, averaging Very Good. Also included with the thirty-one Giants programs are a rare Brooklyn Tigers program (vs. Giants, 10/15/44; first season in NFL franchise history; the team changed its name to the Brooklyn Dodgers that following season; back cover missing) and a New York Yankees program (vs. San Francisco 49ers, 10/17/48; the Yankees played in the All-America Football Conference).
