1934 Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Ball with Honus Wagner and Seven Other Hall of Famers

Official National League (Heydler) ball signed in blue fountain pen by the following twenty-five members of the 1934 Pittsburgh Pirates: Wagner (coach, "6"), Vaughan (very faint, "2"), Traynor (player/manager, very faint, "1"), P. Waner, L. Waner, Hoyt, Lindstrom, Grimes, Swift, Roettger, French, Birkofer (on ball label), Holley, Lucas, Suhr, Thevenow, Meine (sweet spot), Crandall (coach, sweet spot), Jensen (sweet spot), Smith, Veltman, Padden, Lavagetto, Chagnon, and Grace. Signatures range from "1" to "7," averaging "5." Despite the club's fifth-place finish in 1934, Pirates fans certainly got their money's worth that season, as the starting lineup featured five future Hall of Famers: Traynor, Vaughan, P. Waner, L. Waner, and Lindstrom. Another Hall of Famer, Waite Hoyt, anchored the staff, while aging spitball ace Burleigh Grimes, in his final season, joined the club late in the year.
