Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the 252 examples of 1933 Goudey #229 Floyd "Arky" Vaughan graded to date, only fifteen have graded at this level, and only one has ever been graded higher. Brightly colored portrait with near-flawless registration, centered slightly to the bottom, with unobtrusive print speckling (mentioned for the sake of accuracy). Clean, boldly printed reverse. A very attractive, extremely high-grade PSA example that would be a significant addition to virtually any 1933 Goudey PSA Registry set or Hall of Fame collection. SMR is $1,450. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $3,258.75
