Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Extremely high grade PSA example of #2 Dazzy Vance from the 1933 Goudey set. The number one card in most sets has long been recognized as challenging to find in high grade, but in most cases obtaining the number-two card in top condition is just as difficult. That is certainly the case with 1933 Goudey. The #1 Benny Bengough has always received the lion's share of attention in the 1933 Goudey set, but the #2 card of Hall of Famer Dazzy Vance is right up there as one of card collecting's greatest condition rarities. For years this condition rarity has created a problem for high-grade 1933 Goudey PSA Set Registry collectors. To date, of the 268 examples graded, only twelve have been graded NM-MT 8 by PSA with none higher. Perfectly clean example with a bright red background, near-perfect registry, strong centering, and a flawless off-white reverse with bold green lettering. This is a very rarely seen PSA NM-MT 8 example of one of the 1933 Goudey set's most elusive condition rarities. SMR value is $6,750. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $11,850.00
