Extremely high grade group of fifteen different low-number 1933 Goudey Gum cards (#1-48), each graded PSA NM 7. 1933 Goudey low-numbers are particularly rare in high grade. In addition to gravitating toward the top of stacks of cards back in the 1930s, thus tending to receive extra wear, low-number series cards are printed on a different stock which is slightly more prone to wear than that used in producing the higher-number cards. These two factors combine to make 1933 Goudey low-numbers (#1-48 and even more so #1-24) particularly difficult to find in high grade. The collection consists of the following: #3, 6, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 24, 26, 32, 33, 39, and 48. Among this group, looking at the PSA Registry, #3 Critz and #10 Myatt have proven to be particularly challenging cards for set builders to acquire in high grade. All cards have bold colors and clean reverses with bold green text. These very sharp-looking high-grade cards would serve as ideal additions or upgrades to virtually any 1933 Goudey PSA Registry set. SMR value is $4,600. Total: 15 cards. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $3,000++.
