1970 Topps Complete Set Minus One (719/720)
Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $4,740.00
81% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (with several Mint) and 19% Ex to Ex-Mt (almost entirely due to centering). Crisp, clean, exceptionally high grade complete 1970 Topps set missing only one common (#475) for completion. Also included are three checklist variations (#128, 244, and 432). At 720 cards, the 1970 Topps set was the largest set of Topps cards issued to date. This is an amazing set, saved in the family of our consignor for decades, and very likely was built by opening packs in the year of issue. We have selected six cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #1 Mets Team (Nr/Mt), 140 Jackson (NM+ 7.5), 189 Munson RC (NM-MT 8), 300 Seaver (MINT 9), 350 Clemente (NM 7), 500 Aaron (NM-MT 8), 580 Rose (Ex-Mt), 600 Mays (Ex-Mt), 630 Banks (Nr/Mt+), 640 Kaline (Nr/Mt+), 660 Bench (Ex-Mt), 700 F. Robinson (no left border, otherwise Ex-Mt), 712 Ryan (NM 7). This is a very attractive complete set in exceptionally high grade . The SMR value for the six graded cards is $865. Total: 722 cards (near-complete set of 719 plus three variations). Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+. SOLD FOR $4,740.00
