1963 Topps #537 Pete Rose Rookie SGC NM/MT+ 92

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,962.50

Graded NM/MT+ 92 by SGC. Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of Pete Rose’s rookie card. One of card collecting's greatest classics, Rose's rookie card is the key to the 1963 Topps set, and one of the most popular of all postwar baseball cards. Bright and crisp colors, perfect pack-fresh gloss, and four sharp corners. Centered slightly to the top, almost entirely unnoticeable due to the full bleed blue on top, with a flawless reverse (exhibiting only a small 1/4-inch pinch along the top edge from the insert). This card is a blazer! SGC has graded only fourteen 1963 Topps Roses at this level out of 462 evaluated to date. This is a spectacular ultra high-grade example of the key card to the 1963 Topps set. The equivalent SMR value is $3,400. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,962.50
