1957 Topps Baseball Unopened Cello Pack - First Series

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,185.00

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Extraordinarily crisp, fresh-looking, original unopened 1957 Topps twelve-card cello pack. This is an exceptionally clean and very tightly sealed cello pack with no tears, which are so common with cello packs from this era. It is the first 1957 Topps cello pack that we can recall ever offering. The top card is #12 Dick Groat, and #16 Walter Moryn appears on the bottom of the pack. Included in between could be any number of Hall of Famers (more than a dozen, including Mays, Aaron, Clemente, and rookie cards of Drysdale and Frank Robinson, appear in this series). It is a miracle that any packs of cards from more than half a century ago still exist in their original unopened state. They are, of course, very rare, and this is one of the few survivors from the glory days of baseball cards of the late 1950s. This is an extraordinary high-grade unopened pack of 1957 Topps, one of the most popular of all early Topps issues, containing twelve essentially perfect (no guarantees, but possibly very high grade) never-touched-by-human-hands cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,185.00
