1888 N162 Goodwin Champions Cap Anson PSA EX-MT 6

Starting Bid - $5,000.00, Sold For - $11,850.00

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. One of only six examples graded at this level by PSA. Stunning high-grade example of the key card from this very popular and colorful set of fifty, issued by Old Judge and Gypsy Queen. This extraordinary EX-MT example is beautifully centered, with bright, flawless colors and perfect registration. Boldly printed reverse with the slightest minor ink bleed/wet sheet transfer present. The card has a NM appearance but has been downgraded to Ex-Mt due to just a little too much corner wear (predominately the lower right). This is a magnificent high-grade example, one of the finest we have ever seen or offered, of one of the most classic of all nineteenth-century baseball cards. This card is a gem and would be a significant highlight in even the most advanced collection. SMR value is $11,750. Reserve $5,000. Estimate (open).
