1956 Topps #2/4 Checklist PSA MINT 9

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,066.50

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Ultra high-grade example of the Series 2/4 checklist from the 1956 Topps set. Checklists are among the hardest cards to find in high grade as they were intended to be used by diligent children to track their progress towards a complete set and are almost always found with some degree of marking. Additionally, they were often discarded (especially the variety such as this that do not picture any player) by collectors who saw little value in retaining them. 1956 marked the first year in which Topps issued checklists making them especially desirable to set collectors. This example is one of only eleven MINT 9s (with none higher) out of 699 examples evaluated by PSA to date! It is bright and crisp with perfect centering and razor sharp corners. This is a very highly graded checklist example that would make a significant addition to any 1956 Topps set. SMR is $1,250. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,066.50
