1954 Topps #1 Ted Williams PSA NM-MT+ 8.5

Starting Bid - $2,500.00, Sold For - $6,517.50

Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. One of only six examples at this level with only five higher out of the 2,304 examples graded to date in the history of PSA. Condition-sensitive #1 card in extraordinarily high grade featuring Hall of Famer Ted Williams, from the popular 1954 Topps issue. The card displays four razor-sharp corners, perfect registration, brilliant colors, and is very well centered. This card is a blazer! Being the number-one card in the set, #1 Williams is a true condition rarity. This card naturally gravitated to the top of the stack, usually exposing it to substantial extra wear and handling, and thus making high-grade examples far more difficult to find than most other 1954 Topps and other Williams’ cards. This is an extraordinarily strong, crisp, ultra high-grade example of 1954 Topps #1 Ted Williams, and is the literally the finest and highest-graded example we have ever handled. SMR value is $6,500. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+.
