These black-and-white cards were sold in 32-card sets at Crosley Field, the Reds' stadium, and feature biographical and statistical information about the depicted players, coaches, and even broadcaster Harry Hartman, who came up with the idea to honor the back-to-back National League Pennant winners and 1940 World Series champions. The first partial set is missing only the 1940 World Series Results card for completion. The second partial set is missing two cards (The Cincinnati Reds title card and the results card). The third partial set is missing ten cards (Craft, Derringer, Goodman, M. McCormick, McKechnie, Walters, Weber, title card, order blank, and results). Saved by our consignor's family since the original year of issue. Total: 83 cards. Reserve $100. Estimate $200+. SOLD FOR $237.00
