1887-1889 N172 Old Judge SGC-Graded Collection with Superior Images (20)

Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $7,110.00

Exceptionally attractive, high-quality collection of twenty N172 Old Judges, with almost all having images far superior to that normally found on Old Judges. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). This very striking group consists of the following: NM 84 (1 card): #219-1 Healy (Denvers, 1888). EX+ 70 (2 cards): #191-1 Glasscock (Indianapolis, 1888) and 400-2 Schellhase (St. Joes, 1888). EX 60 (7 cards): #38-5 Bradley (Sioux City, 1889), 77-5 Clark (Omaha), 102-3 Crotty (Sioux City, 1889), 158-1 Ferson (Washington, 1889), 183-3 Genins (Sioux City, 1889), 231-6 Holliday (Cincinnati, 1888), and 450-3 Swartzel (Kansas City, 1888). VG/EX+ 55 (2 cards): #119-3 Davis (Kansas City, 1888) and 182-6 Geiss (Chicago, 1887). VG/EX 50 (2 cards): #28-2 Bierbauer (Philadelphia, 1888) and 304-2 McClellan (Brooklyn). VG+ 45 (1 card): #397-1 Sage (Toledo). VG 40 (3 cards): #237-1 Howes (St. Paul, 1889), 245-4 Jantzen (Minneapolis, 1889), and 369-2 Pickett (Kansas City). GOOD 30 (1 card): #6-1 Alvord (Toledo). Authentic (1 card): #36-1 Boyle (Indianapolis, 1888). This is a very clean assembly pulled by REA from a much larger collection of N172 Old Judges offered in this auction, specifically with a concern for photo quality, contrast, and the overall eye-appeal of each card. This is a great-looking group! Total: 20 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000+. SOLD FOR $7,110.00
