1924 Zeenut PCL Collection (64) Including Paul Waner and Yellowhorse

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $2,962.50

Collection of sixty-four different 1924 Zeenut cards featuring Pacific Coast League players, highlighted by Hall of Famer Paul Waner and also Moses Yellowhorse, the first Native American to play in the Major Leagues. The 1924 Zeenut set is comprised of players from eight different teams (Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vernon). We have submitted three key cards to be graded by SGC: Paul Waner (EX+ 70), Yellowhorse (VG 40), and Flaskamper (EX+ 70). The balance of the cards grade twenty Vg-Ex to Ex, eleven Gd to Vg, and thirty evenly distributed Pr to Fr. As is usually the case with Zeenuts, the coupon at the bottom of each card has been clipped away, as intended, to be redeemed for valuable prizes. This grouping is part of a large original-owner Zeenut collection, consigned to this auction by the family of the gentleman who collected these cards as a child, which we have broken down into smaller lots by year. Total: 64 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,962.50
