1930 Zeenut PCL Near-Complete Set (179/186) Including Nevers and Rosenberg

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,370.00

Near-complete set of 179 of the 186 different 1930 Zeenut cards featuring Pacific Coast League players, highlighted by key cards of Ernie Nevers and Rosenberg. Also included are nine duplicates. The 1930 Zeenut set is comprised of players from eight different teams (Hollywood, Los Angeles, Mission, Oakland, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Seattle). A near-complete set such as this is extremely rare. Keys: Two Nevers (both Pr) and Rosenberg (Ex front, paper loss and extra paper on entire reverse). Overall condition is 33% Gd-Vg with a few better, 40% Fr, and 27% Pr with some lesser. As is usually the case with Zeenuts, the coupon at the bottom of each card has been clipped away, as intended, to be redeemed for valuable prizes. Many cards have been downgraded due to writing on the reverse, which "comes with the territory" with Zeenuts. This 1930 Zeenut near-complete set is part of a comprehensive Zeenut collection that has been broken down by year into a number of smaller but still very substantial lots. Total: 188 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
