1914 E145 Cracker Jack #3 Joe Tinker

Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $948.00

Graded VG/EX+ 55 by SGC. A very attractive high-grade example of Hall of Famer Joe Tinker from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were only issued in boxes of Cracker Jack. Well-centered card with even wear to the corners, and some very light stains on the front and back (which is so common with 1914 Cracker Jack cards). No creases. All Cracker Jacks are rare to find in high-grade condition, but as card #3 in the 1914 Cracker Jack set, this card naturally gravitates to the top of the stack when put in numerical order and therefore tends to have been subject to much more wear than most other cards in the set. So, in addition to being a key Hall of Famer, Tinker is somewhat of a condition rarity, and a particularly difficult card to find in high grade. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $948.00
