1916 M101-5 Sporting News Collection Including Nine Hall of Famers (80 cards)

Collection of eighty different cards from the M101-5 Sporting News set highlighted by nine Hall of Famers, including Johnny Evers, Joe Tinker, Miller Huggins, and Casey Stengel. The cards in this collection represent forty percent of a complete 1916 M101-5 Sporting News set! The M101-5s, along with their sister set M101-4, are two of the most highly regarded and comprehensive baseball-card sets of the era. This is a very attractive group of cards with flawless real-photo images. Condition is fifty-four evenly distributed Vg-Ex to Ex with four better, twelve Vg, and ten lesser. We have selected nine cards to be graded by SGC. All cards are blank-backed except for a single Famous and Barr advertising back. This is an outstanding collection, containing numerous highlights, and is a fantastic contribution towards starting or improving any collection of these classic pre-war cards. The equivalent SMR value of just the nine graded cards (not including the seventy-one ungraded cards!) is $1,265.
