Circa 1912 Pirate Cigarettes Complete Box - Related to the T215 Pirate Set!

Starting Bid - $100.00, Sold For - $414.75

Extremely attractive complete box of Pirate Cigarettes produced by W. D. & H. O. Wills. The reverse of all Pirate Cigarette cards (baseball and nonsport issues) feature the image of a Pirate Cigarettes box in some fashion. The front of the box features a single pirate in full-length pose onboard a ship while the back has two scenes framing an advertisement for Pirate Cigarettes. This example has been beautifully preserved over the years, presenting extremely clean with bright colors and only minor wear from handling. The interior foil is completely intact along with the ten, tobacco-filled cigarettes, which appear exactly as they did more than 100 years ago. Unfortunately, there is no T215 Pirate Cigarettes baseball card accompanying! But fortunately this auction includes five examples of these rarities. This is an extremely attractive box of Pirate Cigarettes, among the most visually appealing of the era, which would make an outstanding addition to any tobacco-packaging collection or a fantastic companion piece to any of the T215 Pirate tobacco cards offered in this auction. Reserve $100. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $414.75
