Near-Complete Set of National League Bobbing-Head Miniatures (9 of 10)

Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $3,258.75

Nine of the ten dolls which comprise the complete set of 1961-1963 National League bobbing-head miniatures (no Cincinnati), all in incredibly high grade. This collection originally appeared as Lot 886 in REA's April 2005 auction, where it sold for $3,770. At that time, all of the dolls were personally examined and graded by world-renowned bobbing-head expert Tim Hunter. This is a remarkable assemblage. Prior to that 2005 offering, we're not sure when the last time a National League miniature near-set such as this even appeared at auction. The condition is outstanding across the board. Key mascot dolls Cardinals,Cubs, Colt 45's, and Braves are Gem Mint. The balance are all in spectacular Near Mint to Mint condition. This lot has been consigned directly from the original purchaser in 2005. Total: 9 dolls. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500++.
