(A number of Sutton's other personal souvenirs, including cards, programs, and autographs, are offered as separate lots elsewhere in this auction.) Sutton, whose biography can be viewed on the SABR website (http://sabr.org/content/sabr-salute-keith-sutton), attended each of the games represented here, as evidenced by his pencil or ink notations (score, date, etc.) on the reverse of nearly every ticket. All-Star Tickets: 1) 1952, Shibe Park (Jackie Robinson's only All-Star Game home run) and 2) 1959, Forbes Field (first of two All-Star Games played that season). Six of the tickets are irregularly torn as is often the case with tickets. Without regard to that, or the notations on the reverse, the collection grades Ex overall with the exception of one of the 1958 World Series stubs, which has one edge covered in clear tape (not in repair of a tear). In addition to the actual game tickets, the collection also includes ten of Keith Sutton's World Series field passes and two of his All-Star Game field passes (various games from the 1950s and 1960s) nearly all of which bear his name and newspaper affiliation (Wayne Independent). Ex overall. Total: 31 items (19 World Series or All-Star Game tickets and twelve field passes). Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $2,370.00
