1910 H801-7 Old Mill Tobacco Cabinet Spratt (Player not in T210 Old Mill set)

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $2,133.00

Extremely pleasing example from the rare H801-7 Old Mill Cabinet series featuring Spratt of Roanoke. Large-format (approximately 5.25 by 7.25 inches) cabinet card with close parallels to the T210 red border series also produced by Old Mill. Graded FAIR 20 by SGC, this example has a VG appearance and has been downgraded due to pencil notations on the reverse reading "Uncataloged T210." This is especially notable as Spratt is one of three known players in the Old Mill Cabinet series not to be depicted in the T210 set. This fact may make this card of special interest to T210 Old Mill collectors. The card displays light, even wear to the corners and a faint crease approximately 1.5 inches long on the front. The important central image remains undisturbed. The reverse displays light toning in spots in addition to the previously mentioned pencil writing. This is an exceptional and particularly noteworthy example from this rarely seen tobacco cabinet-card series. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,133.00
