Enormous Hall of Fame Single-Signed Ball Collection (95) with DiMaggio

Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $3,258.75

This large collection is comprised of ninety-five single-signed Hall of Fame baseballs representing sixty different players. Unless otherwise noted, all of the balls are either official National League or American League balls (dating from the 1980s or later) and all have been signed across the sweet spot (in a variety of inks), with the signatures ranging from "8" to "10." Many of the players have added a few additional notations regarding their respective career or achievements (i.e., Hall of Fame induction year, total MVP years, number of Gold Gloves, etc.). It should be noted that nearly half (27) of the signers are now deceased and, as a point of reference, the SMR value for this collection totals $6,525. The number of balls for each player, if more than one, is noted in parentheses. Aparicio (3), Ashburn, Banks, Barlick, Bench (2), Berra (2), Boudreau, Brett, Carew, Carlton (2, one grading "3"), Cepeda (3), Dandridge, Dawson (3), DiMaggio (3; one of the balls has an unidentified white surface residue on the signature), Doerr (grading "6"), Feller, Ferrell, Fingers, Fisk, Ford (the ball has an unidentified white surface residue on the signature and the panel above), Gibson, Gwynn, Henderson, Hunter (2), Jackson (2), Jenkins, Kaline (2), Kell (2), Killebrew (3), Kiner, Leonard, Marichal, Mathews (3), Mazeroski, Mays (2), McCovey (3), Mize, Morgan, Murray, Musial (2), Newhouser (2), Perry, B.
