Official National League (Frick) ball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-seven members of the 1949 National League champion Brooklyn Dodgers: Robinson, Campanella (very cramped signature at the base of a side panel), Reese, Snider, Hodges, Shotten (Mgr., sweet spot, clubhouse signature), McCormick, Branca, Banta, Brown, Roe, Jorgensen, Pitler (coach), Palica, Edwards, Martin, Minner, Olmo, Hatten, Newcombe, Whitman, Rackley, Sukeforth (coach), Hermanski, Narron (coach), Cox, and one other (illegible). Signatures range from "5" to "8," averaging "6/7." The ball has been coated with a layer of protective shellac, which exhibits a few tiny chips. All of the manufacturer's labels are bold and legible. In Excellent condition overall. A very complete ball dating from the club's 1949 pennant-winning season. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,304
