Large and unusually substantial collection of 94 Hall of Fame signatures, representing sixty different players, comprised mainly of either 3 x 5-inch cards or cuts. The collection is highlighted by many very scarce and desirable early HOF signature examples, including those of Cy Young, Frank Baker, Ed Barrow, Chief Bender, Sam Crawford, Billy Evans, Nap Lajoie, Roberto Clemente, and Paul Waner. In addition to the Hall of Fame signatures, the collection also includes a 3 x 5-inch card signed by Roger Maris. All of the signatures, which have been penned in a variety of inks, grade either "9" or "10" unless otherwise noted. Miscellaneous (10): Baker (alone on an autograph album page), Crawford (on a postcard postmarked 1957), Gehringer (clipped newspaper/magazine photo), Grimes (clipped newspaper/magazine photo), Grove (2; one on a government postcard [postmarked 1949] and the other on a 1961 Fleer Baseball Greats card #38), Ruffing (2; the first is a 1961 Fleer Baseball Greats card #74 and the other is a clipped newspaper/magazine photo), Schalk (on a government postcard postmarked 1955), Terry (Jacksonville Baseball Company check; dated 5/15/59). The signature examples of Evans, Manush, Bender, and Harris (only one of the two) have been individually matted together with a Perez-Steele Hall of Fame postcard of the respective player. The Lloyd and Paul Waner cuts have been matted side by side along with Perez-Steele Hall of Fame postcards of each respective player. All of the matted signature examples have been affixed to the matting by means of tape and/or adhesive; otherwise, the collection is in Excellent condition overall.
