1915 E145 Cracker Jack Framed Display Plus Seven E145 Hall of Famers

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,555

Beautiful framed display (25 x 20.5 inches) honoring America's favorite popcorn confection product: Cracker Jack! Included in the shadow-box frame is an extremely rare Cracker Jack advertising display poster dating from 1916, an original box of Cracker Jack popcorn (the box appears to be unopened; the box dates from the 1950s), and four cards (Maranville, Brennan, Evans, and Moriarity). The poster is technically in modest condition, but the central image area is bright and colorful. This is an extremely rare and gorgeous Cracker Jack advertising display poster. The unopened box, a rarity in its own right, has some rippling to the outer box wrapping, and is a tremendous addition to the look of the display. The four cards in the framed display are mounted with clear corners and are in Vg-Ex condition. The framed display is accompanied by an additional seven separate E145 Cracker Jack cards. All seven additional cards are Hall of Famers (all 1915 unless noted): two #2 Frank Baker (one 1914 and one 1915), 7 Eddie Collins, 12 Connie Mack (1914), 19 Chief Bender, 65 Tris Speaker, and 69 John McGraw (1914). These seven cards are all have light caramel stains due to their method of issue and otherwise grade Gd-Vg overall. This is attractive group of cards, all Hall of Famers, which were actually issued in Cracker Jack boxes. The unique framed display is a work of art that could hang proudly in even the most advanced collection. Total 13 items: Framed display (representing six items: poster, box, and four cards) plus 7 additional cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $3,555
