1910-Era Hall of Famer Sample-Card Collection, Including M101-6 Ty Cobb (53)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $11,850

Offered is an extremely diverse and substantial collection of fifty-three different Hall of Famer (except two commons) cards and card-related items, all dating from the 1910 era, representing thirty-nine different highly regarded issues. Highlighted by many unusual Hall of Famer samples and rarities including a 1908 PC760 T. R. Rose Postcard of Jimmy Collins and a Felix Mendelsohn (M101-6) of Ty Cobb. This is an extremely fascinating assemblage and is truly a collection unto itself! Each card was chosen for inclusion with great care by a devoted sample-card enthusiast who collected many years ago. This is an extremely interesting collection of classic vintage cards. Condition varies, as can be seen, but all are very pleasing and, as noted, all (with the exception of two) are Hall of Famers (as that, along with samples, was the theme of the collection, which is presented in several lots in this auction). The collection consists of the following: 1) 1906 Fan Craze National League (2 cards): Duffy (Vg) and Kelley (Vg). 2) 1908 PC760 T. R. Rose Postcard: J.
