2004 Brian Urlacher Chicago Bears Game-Used Road Jersey - NFL Auctions

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $1,541

Chicago Bears road jersey worn by future Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher on November 7, 2004, during a 28-21 victory over the New York Giants at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This jersey was originally obtained directly from NFL Auctions and features an authentication label in the collar, bearing the certification number "1N15090," from the NFL and PSA/DNA. The white mesh jersey is numbered "54" on the front, reverse, and each sleeve. "Urlacher" is lettered upon a nameplate on the reverse. All letters and numerals are appliqu├ęd in navy on orange tackle twill. The initials "GSH," in honor of former Bears owner and coach George Halas, appear on the left sleeve. Located on the left front tail are a "Reebok" label and adjacent "50" size tag. Both the year and jersey size ("03-50") are noted upon a white strip tag in the collar. (Despite the "03" year designation, it is clearly recorded in the PSA/DNA database as having been worn by Urlacher against the Giants on November 7, 2004.) The jersey is all original, with no alterations, and displays moderate-to-heavy use. The degree of use is indicative of Urlacher's hard-hitting reputation. Blue helmet transfers are evident on both the front and reverse shoulders, as well as soiling along the collar and a few small tears on the sleeves. Brian Urlacher is considered one of the finest defensive players in football today. An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, he is one of only five players ever to be voted Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year (2000) and Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year (2005) during his career. He is also only the fifth player in Bears history to receive Pro Bowl selections in each of his first four NFL seasons (joining Rick Casares, Mike Ditka, Dick Butkus, and Gale Sayers). This is an outstanding NFL game-used jersey, acquired directly from NFL Auctions, worn by one the game's best defensive players of the modern age. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+. SOLD FOR $1,541
