1969 Topps Complete Set (664)
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,350
90% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (averaging Nr/Mt), 10% Ex (with a few cards lesser). Crisp, clean, very sharp-looking complete set. The 1969 Topps set is highlighted by the rookie cards of Oakland A's HOFers Reggie Jackson and Rollie Fingers, plus the last card of Mickey Mantle. This final card of "The Mick," who retired March 1, 1969, contains his complete statistical record on the reverse. Clemente, Mays, Aaron, Rose, and all the other great stars of the era are also included. We have selected four cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #20 Banks (10/90 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 50 Clemente (Ex-Mt), 95 Bench (30/70 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 100 Aaron (PSA NM 7), 120 Rose (Ex/Ex-Mt), 130 Yastrzemski (25/75 T/B, otherwise Ex-Mt), 190 Mays (PSA NM-MT 8), 200 Gibson (Ex-Mt), 250 F. Robinson (Ex-Mt), 255 Carlton (Nr/Mt), 260 Jackson RC (20/80 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt), 480 Seaver (70/30 T/B, otherwise Ex-Mt), 500 Mantle (PSA EX-MT 6), 510 Carew (Vg-Ex), 533 Ryan (PSA NM 7), 550 B. Robinson (Ex), 573 Palmer (70/30 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt), 597 Fingers RC (Ex-Mt), and 630 Bonds RC (Nr/Mt-Mt). Includes the usual number of mostly minor centering problems. This is a beautiful high-grade set of one of the great 1960s Topps issues, loaded with Hall of Famers. Total: 664 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,350
