1964 and 1971 Topps Coins Collection (340)

Collection of 340 assorted (290 different) Topps metal coins, dating from 1964 and 1971, representing two near-complete sets. These metal coins were issued as special inserts by Topps in baseball card wax packs. Also included are seventeen coins from the 1963 Salada-Junket set, and twelve coins from the 1965 Old London set, for a total of 369 metal coins. The sets feature all the major stars of the era including Mantle (five different), Mays, Clemente, Aaron, Koufax, Banks, Maris, Snider, Rose, Jackson, Bench, and many more. 1) 1964 Topps Coins near-complete set (156 of 164 plus 50 duplicates for a total of 206): Missing only eight coins for completion (#30, 34 Drysdale, 55 Clemente, 59 Gibson, 65, 79, 113, and 139 Ford AS). Condition ranges from Ex to Nr/Mt (with the only problems being some minor rust spots along the rims, which is characteristic of this set). The duplicates are slightly lesser. Keys: #42 Banks (Ex), 80 Mays (Ex-Mt), 82 Rose (Ex-Mt), 83 Aaron (Ex), 106 Koufax (Ex-Mt), 120 Mantle (Ex), 131a Mantle AS LH (Nr/Mt), 131b Mantle AS RH (Ex/Mt), 149 Aaron AS (Ex-Mt), 150 Clemente AS (Ex), and 151 Mays AS (Ex-Mt). 2) 1971 Topps Coins near-complete set (134 of 153): Missing nineteen coins for completion (#2, 40, 52, 55, 66, 68, 71 Clemente, 72, 87 Brock, 90 Palmer, 92, 96, 97, 105 Perez, 109, 110, 114 B. Robinson, 130, and 141). Condition ranges from Ex to Nr/Mt (with the only problems being some minor rust spots along the rims, which is characteristic of this set). Keys: #58 Yastrzemski (Ex-Mt), 101 Rose (Ex-Mt), 108 Jackson (Ex), 137 Aaron (Nr/Mt), 149 Bench (Ex), and 153 Mays (Ex). 3) 1963 Salada-Junket Coins (17): Grade Nr/Mt overall, including #1 Drysdale, 8 Spahn, 22 Mays, 30 B.
