Collection of twenty-two different cards of Mickey Mantle dating from 1952 to 1969: Topps (12 cards): 1953 #82 (encapsulated as "Authentic" by SGC due to a slight trim, otherwise Ex-Mt; great looking card!), 1956 #135 (Vg-Ex), 1958 #150 (Vg-Ex), 1959 #10 (Ex), 1965 #300 (Ex), 1965 Push/Pull (color added in the top right corner, otherwise Ex-Mt), 1966 #50 (Vg), 1967 #150 (Ex), 1968 Topps #280 (Vg), 1968 Topps Game (Gd, ink date stamp on front), 1969 Topps Super (Gd, paper loss along the top and bottom edges), and 1969 Topps Decal (Ex). Other Issues (10 cards): 1952 Berk Ross (SGC VG/EX 50), 1954 Bowman #65 (Vg), 1954 Dan Dee (Vg), 1954 Red Heart (SGC NM/MT 88), 1962 Post Cereal #5 (Ex), 1961 Bazooka #2 (graded "Authentic" by SGC due to the dotted line along the top cut off, otherwise Ex-Mt), 1962 Bazooka (date "1962" written in blue ink and a stamp hinge stain, both on the reverse, otherwise Nr/Mt), 1964 Bazooka #1 (Ex), 1965 Bazooka #1 (SGC NM 84), and 1966 Bazooka #7 (Ex). On the playground in the 1950s and 1960s, a single card of Mickey Mantle was a treasure. Twenty-three Mickey Mantles would have been an abundance of riches. Because these cards are in various grades ranging from Good to Ex, they represent a relatively affordable opportunity for a collector to acquire a treasure trove of vintage Mickey Mantle cards dating from his playing days. Also included is a circa 1956 decal of Mantle in Vg condition. This is a very substantial collection of vintage Mickey Mantle cards with many highlights. Total 22 cards plus one decal. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $4,700
