1933 R333 DeLong #7 Lou Gehrig

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,115

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Bright, clean, and exceptionally attractive Vg-Ex example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards, and one of the most classic of all 1930s bubble-gum cards. This is a very attractive mid-grade 1933 DeLong #7 Lou Gehrig, one of the 1930s' great classics. It is very clean, with strong colors, centered toward the left (approximately 25/75 L/R), and with a small, light surface crease visible on Gehrig's head. The corners show light, even wear. The reverse of the card is also extremely clean, with bold black text. This is an impressive Vg-Ex example of the key to the 1933 DeLong Gum Company set and one of Lou Gehrig's most desirable cards, sharing almost all of the qualities of a higher-graded example. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,115
