1915 E145 Cracker Jack #68 Honus Wagner

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,231

Graded VG 40 by SGC. The 1915 Cracker Jack is understandably one of Honus Wagner's most striking and popular cards. This E145 Wagner card has been separated from the original-owner near-set of 1915 Cracker Jacks offered in this auction. 1915 Cracker Jacks will always be one of the most desirable prewar sets ever issued. The "Flying Dutchman" is one of the big three key cards in the set, along with Cobb and Jackson. The card is centered slightly to the left (40/60 left to right), with outstanding color, an extremely bold red background, and even wear to the corners. If not for the light stain along the lower right border, we believe this card would grade a solid Vg-Ex. The card has a much better appearance than its technically accurate SGC grade, and would be a very welcome addition to any high-quality collection of Cracker Jack, Honus Wagner, or Hall of Fame cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,231
