1914 E145 Cracker Jack #66 Nap Lajoie
Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $3,819
Graded EX 5 by PSA. Extremely attractive high-grade example of key Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. Bright and crisp, with four sharp corners, and flawless color. The reverse has just a slight hint of very light caramel staining, as almost always found on #144 series cards. (This example has far less than usually seen on #144 series cards). The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were only issued in boxes of Cracker Jack. It is rare to find any #144 series Cracker Jack in such high grade, let alone a high-grade example of a significant Hall of Famer such as Nap Lajoie. This is a tremendous 1914 Cracker Jack #66 Nap Lajoie example, conservatively graded and ideal in all respects. We grade this card Ex-Mt. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,200, which based on its stellar condition for the grade and past auction results may be very low. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200+. SOLD FOR $3,819
