1909-1911 T206 Bill O'Hara - St. Louis Americans Variation

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,763

Graded PR-FR 1 by PSA. This is an extraordinarily attractive technically low-grade example of the rare T206 O'Hara, St. Louis Americans variation. The modest grade is appropriate due to creasing, but all things considered, we have to say this is absolutely without question by far the most impressive example of this rare T206 graded PR-FR 1 that we have ever seen. All T206 O'Hara St. Louis cards should look so great! Bright and crisp, with large borders and virtually perfect centering, extremely fresh colors, square corners, with practically no staining (a few spots along the right edge and left border), and a few horizontal creases through the image. The packaged cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product; thus almost all O'Hara cards have at least some tobacco staining, among other condition issues common to T206s with Polar Bear backs. This is an exceptionally attractive card, especially for the grade, of one of the rarest (and in our opinion very underrated) cards in the classic T206 White Border set. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++.
