Collection of seventy-eight T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated VG/EX 50 by SGC. All have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisements on back (except one Sovereign). This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. Consists of the following: Abbaticchio (blue sleeves), Abstein, Adkins, Ames (hands above head), Anderson, Arellanes, Armbruster, Bell (pitching), Bush, Camnitz (arm at side), Carr, Casey, Charles, Clarke (Cleveland), Crandall (no cap), Davidson, Devore, Dineen, Donlin (seated), Doolan (fielding), Dougherty (arm in air), Dougherty (port.), Downey (batting), Downey (fielding), Doyle (bat), Dunn (Bklyn), Evans, Fiene (port.), Fiene (throwing, Sovereign back), Groom, Hallman, Hinchman (Cleveland), Hoffman (Providence), Hulswitt, Jacklitsch, Jackson, Kleinow (NY, catching), Lavender, Manning (pitching), Marshall, McCormick, McGlynn, McQuillan (ball in hand), Milligan, Mitchell (Toronto), Moran (Providence), Moriarty, Mullen, Mullin (bat), Murphy (batting), Murray (batting), Myers (batting), Nichols (batting), Oberlin, O’Hara (NY), Oldring (batting), Oldring (fielding), O’Leary (hands on knees), Payne, Pelty (vertical), Randall, Schirm, Schlei (catching), Schulte (back view), Seymour (portrait), Shannon, Shipke, Snodgrass (batting), Stahl (no glove), Stanage, Starr, Street (catching), Sweeney (Boston), Tannehill (Washington), Tannehill (Tannehill on front), Thomas, Warhop, and Wilhelm (bat). Bright and crisp extremely attractive collection, all in uniform grade, from the most popular and classic set of the era. This is a very substantial group, and a tremendous start to a T206 set. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grades is $6,290. Total: 78 cards. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $4,406
