1932 to 1938 Nonsports Unopened Pack Collection (3)
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $2,233
Collection of three extraordinary and extremely rare unopened nonsport packs, all in pristine condition, all issued in the 1930s. These packs were kept as souvenirs by the family who consigned "The Most Incredible Unopened Find In The History of The Universe" that was presented in May 2009 at REA. A near-complete unopened counter-display box of each of these three gum-card issues (and others) were included in the find. We have never seen anything like this amazing find before and we will probably never see anything like it again. We had no idea the family kept any packs, but we're glad they did, and thrilled to hear from them again to offer these few keepsakes from this most extraordinary unopened find. These three non-sport packs and the 1929 Dockman's Ruth pack offered elsewhere in this auction are the only examples saved as souvenirs by the family. The trio of packs are 1) Circa 1932 R182 Dietz "Magic Gum" (Ex-Mt). 2) 1933 R155 General Gum "Mystery Gum - Trick Cards" (Ex-Mt). 3) 1938 R55 Gumakers of America Frank Buck "Bring 'Em Back Alive" (Nr/Mt). Three spectacular high-quality unopened packs from the most incredible find of 1930s unopened gum boxes in hobby history! Total three unopened packs. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800++. SOLD FOR $2,233
